The True Story of the Whole World!
The Bible is not just a random collection of ancient writings, as it may seem to some - a jumble of history and poetry, of rigid rules and pithy proverbs, of comforting promises and guiding principles. The Bible is one grand story from beginning to end. It is the true story of the whole world!
But a lot of people, even a lot of Christian people, don't know that - perhaps because nobody has ever explained it to them. Maybe they know bits and pieces - they've heard a few stories from the Bible, maybe they even memorized some verses when they were kids - but they don't know how the whole thing fits together. It's like the old expression, "They can't see the forest for the trees." Or, to use a different image, when it comes to the Bible a lot of people have seen some sound bytes, but they've never watched the whole movie. This lack of understanding of the grand narrative inhibits Christian maturity because it means we lack a Christian worldview. It also makes us less inclined to pick up the Bible and read it on a daily basis - because we don't know how it fits together.
This Fall, Pastor Brink is teaching on the unifying themes of the Bible, the great doctrines of Scripture, the overarching and undergirding themes that hold the whole story together - that help us understand not just the Bible, but also the world and our place in it. Know anybody who needs this? Maybe YOU! Don't miss even one week this Fall season - you'll be blessed by the teaching of God's Word!
Join Us on Thanksgiving Day
There's Always a Place for You at Rosewood!
We offer a schedule full of "gathering" activities on Sundays and weeknights. Check out what's happening!
SUNDAY MORNING CELEBRATIONS
Join us for either an early-morning or mid-morning worship time: the first begins at 8:30, and the second at 10:30. During every service we offer a full menu of group options for our children: Nursery care for infants through 2-year-olds, and "Promiseland" for Preschool through 8th graders in which we teach the "Walk With Me" program of Christian discipleship. After each service, we have an informal coffee time on the west lawn, where we mingle and get to know one another better.
SPANISH SPEAKERS INVITED
Rosewood's Hispanic Ministry offers a Spanish-language worship service in the Social Hall nearly every Sunday. On the last Sunday of the month (whether it's the 4th or 5th Sunday), we all worship together with Spanish translation through headsets and a multicultural emphasis.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT MINISTRIES
The Rosewood Campus is bustling with activity on Wednesday night from September through May, as we offer our GEMS Club for girls in 1st-7th grades, our Cadets Club for boys in 2nd-6th grade, a Spanish-language Bible study for adults, a basic Bible study for Women, and nursery care/story time for young children. All activities take place from 6:30-8:00 p.m.During five weeks of summer (from late June through July), we offer Summer Family Nights every Wednesday night for children through adults. Come check it out!
