Higher Ground

If you are in 7th or 8th grade, Higher Ground is for you. We meet every Tuesday night, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:45 p.m., September thru May. We usually start with a game or mixer, then we have a worship time, a lesson from the Bible, and go into small groups. If you have any questions, call Landon at (562)804-4778, ext. 24. Sometimes our starting time changes, for different activities, so be sure to check the event calendar! If you don't have an event calendar you better make this Tuesday to catch up on what is going on!

Higher Ground kicks off "Revolutions"

                   If you haven't experienced a  "Revolutions" yet, this is your year!  Justin Vande Kerk (at First CRC of Bellflower) and I have agreed to double the amount of Revolutions in one school year.  This year we will be having 4!  The next Revolutions is scheduled for December 16.  If you are a newcomer, here is a taste of what you can expect...An outside DJ comes in to play hours of today's dance and hip hop music, but don't worry, if dancing is not your thing, you can join in on a game of basketball, fooseball, ping pong, billiards, or just hang out a have a free slice of pizza with all of your friends.  What's that...fun at Church?!  We garauntee a good time.  Make sure you grab a flyer when we come to your junior high in December.  We will see you then!

A Note From Our Youth Director

          Higher Ground starts Tuesday, September 18th this year.  That is less than a week away!  Summer has been fun but I have been anxiously waiting to get back into weekly youth group, especially now that we have the youth room finished!  Come check it out this week.  I promise a good time with a lot of new faces.  If new faces makes you nervous, bring all your friends, we would love to see you there!
